First visit the Monastery of Ayios Neophytos, which was founded in the 12th century by the hermit and writer Neophytos.

The "Egkleistra", an enclosure carved out of the mountain by the hermit, contains some of the finest Byzantine fresques dating from the 12th to the 16th century.
Continue to Polis, to the ground of the ancient city-kingdom Marion and the bath of Aphrodite.
